LAKE POWELL The most majestic place

I have been going every year of my life to Lake Powell since I was 9 years old, so around 32 years of my life! I have gone in the Spring, Summer and Fall and every season has given me a sense of awe of the beauty it posesses. Fall and Spring are quieter and leave more time for exploring canyons, hiking game nights and book reading. Hands down it is one of my favorite places. For us its a time to unplug from the world, where cell service is limited so work can't interrupt a week spent being with family and enjoying fun, and relaxation...and stress of parking a houseboat.

South of Bullfrog Marina
April 2022, the water level was too low to launch our speedboat which meant the channel was calm! I had never seen the channel so empty or calm. We saw a couple people the entire week. We didn't explore far since we didn't have a speedboat that week, but it made for some fun kayaking and hiking around our place we anchored. It looks like we are beached, but we are not, just the depths playing tricks on your eyes.

I love seeing the water level lines on the wall. I have seen the water levels change so much over the years. It changes the scenery each time, so no matter when you go you will discover new places above or below. Hopefully if you discover places below you aren't finding it with the prop of your boat. 😉
